​Cortney Piepenburg

Hello there!

​

My name is Cortney - a midwest based performer, director, & educator. From a young age, I knew the theatre was where I belonged. From dancing around the living room, to singing in my community, to performing in shows at my local theatre. I fell in love with my craft and continue to every day!

 

Last may, I graduated from Viterbo Conservatory in La Crosse, Wisconsin with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and minors in Arts Administration and Marketing. In my four years at Viterbo, I was able to explore multiple areas of theatre. From performing, to directing, to stage managing, to front of house operations. I collected so many useful skills, and realized I don’t have to settle for just one thing - I could be a jack of all trades.

 

Since graduating, I’ve had opportunities to teach, direct, and stage manage in both my hometown and other areas of the midwest. I continue to learn and grow in my chosen craft and find new things I love about it. When not at the theatre…you can find me reading, hanging out with family, creating art, listening to music, and enjoying nature.

 

My goals are to live life to the fullest as my most true and authentic self. To advocate for those who don’t have the same opportunities as me. To teach the joys of theatre to all. And to continue doing what I love.
